The floral characteristics and S-allele genotypes of several almonds were initially investigated with an almond cultivar introduced from U. S. A. as control and by use of several almond lines of Xinjiang as test materials. The resuts indicated that self-pollinating and fruiting percentage was extremely low, which belongs to cross-pollination type. There was a great difference in open-fruit set percentage of all the lines. There was a great possibility for selecting the lines with high open-fruiting percentage. There were rich S-Genotypes,with several genotypes special in Xinjiang almonds.
