英文摘要：

The productivity of arable land is calculated by using agricultural land grading results and field investigations, which could provide the basis for the consolidation and evaluation of arable land. According to the forecasting results of arable land productivity in Hubei province, this paper selects all counties of Hubei province, and chooses the methods of re- gional scale analysis and regional advantages analysis, to compare and partition every county of Hubei province with the ac- tual production capacity of arable and the level of arable increase potential. During this comparison and partition, this paper uses the production pros-cons index which is related with arable land accessible productivity, the size pros-cons index which is related with arable land area, and the yield increase potential index which is related with arable land potential use inten- sity. Combined the natural and geographical conditions with the social resource conditions in different regions, this paper makes evaluation and structure optimization adjustment for each region, and fully taps the production potential of each region without damaging the quality of arable land, to improve the comprehensive production capacity of arable land in Hubei province. The results could provide scientific basis for agricultural land consolidation, protection and utilization, and sustain- able development of the agricultural production in Hubei province in the future.
