The modification of nano-HAP with various biochemical methods such as fluorescein, rare earth do- ping, quantum dot notation is reviewed and the applications of such novel nano-HAP in bone tissue engineering, anti- cancer and drug carrier areas are mainly discussed. It is strongly believed that with the deeper research, the novel nano-HAP will make an exploitation and widely application in the near future.
