The construction of metros is still growing in China, the development of underground and upper space above metro stations has become an effective way for efficient use of land resources. Based on the metro station areas in central Shanghai, this paper discusses 5 types of underground space development around metro station area. After analyzing the current development situation of underground space around metro stations in Shanghai, integrated development mode is proposed to be the key of underground space development around metro stations.
