Categories and mechanisms of antimicrobials as well as the analysis of existing problems are introduced. Researches and development progresses of quaternary phosphonium salt compounds are summarized. The development and application trend of it are also analysed and the difficulties are pointed out. Eventually, the prospect of domestic antibacterial and strategies are presented.
