以聚乙烯醇(PVA)为分散剂,苯乙烯(St)、丙烯酸丁酯(BA)、甲基丙烯酸(MAA)和甲基丙烯酰氧乙基三甲基氯化铵(DMC)为主要单体,通过无皂乳液聚合制备了有增强作用的PVA接枝阳离子聚丙烯酸酯表面施胶剂,并通过红外光谱(FT-IR)、差示扫描量热(DSC)和扫描电镜(SEM)进行了表征。纸张增强应用实验表明:单独使用该聚合物施胶剂,纸张的抗张强度、耐破度、耐折度、撕裂度分别提高22.32%、12.63%、38.2%、7.49%,与氧化淀粉复配使用的效果均接近于或高于单独使用聚合物乳液时的效果。
PVA grafting cationic polyacrylate surface sizing agent was prepared through soap-free emulsion polymerization with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as disperser, styrene (St), butyl acrylate (BA), methacrylic acid (MAA) and methylacryloxyethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (DMC) as major monomers, and the surface sizing agent was characterized with infrared spectrum(FT - IR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and SEM. The application result shows that the tensile strength, bursting strength, folding endurance and tearing strength were increased by 22.32%, 12.63%, 38.2% and 7.49% respectively when the polymer sizing agent was used alone and the effect was close to or higher than single polymer emulsion when it was compounded with oxidated starch.
