以异山梨醇为手性剂合成了新型手性液晶单体2-(10-十一烯酸)-5-(4-乙氧基苯甲酰氧基联苯)氧羰基甲酸异山梨醇酯(M1)和2-(10-十一烯酸)-5-(4-乙氧基苯甲酰氧基联苯)氧羰基戊酸异山梨醇酯(M2),及对应的液晶聚合物P1和P2。所获得的单体及聚合物的结构与液晶性能通过了FT—IR、^1H-NMR、POM、DSC和XRD的表征。研究表明,液晶单体M1和M2呈现胆甾相的油丝织构、指纹织构和焦锥织构,聚合物P1和P2呈现近晶A相的扇形织构。此外,所获得的聚合物具有宽的液晶相温度范围和高的热稳定性。
New chiral liquid crystalline monomers isosorbide 2- (10-undecylen- 1-yloxy)-5- [(4- ethoxybenzoyloxy)biphenyl-4'-oxycarbonyl] carboxylate (M1) and isosorbide 2- (10-undecylen-1- yloxy)-5-[(4-ethoxybenzoyloxy) biphenyl- 4'-oxycarbonyl] valerate (M2) were prepared, and their corresponding polymers were obtained by hydrosilylation reaction. The chemical structures of the monomers were characterized by FT-IR and ^1H-NMR spectra. The mesomorphic properties and phase behavior were studied with polarizing optical microscopy (POM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements. Monomers M1 and M2 exhibited typical oily streak texture, finger print texture, and focal conic texture of the cholesteric phase. Polymers P1 and P2 reveal the fan shaped texture of a smectic A (SA) phase. Moreover, P1 and P2 show wide mesophase temperature ranges and high thermal stability.
