In recent years, patent pool has become vanguard of west countries in the patent ＆ standard war against our country. It first defines the concept of patent pool, reviews the development history of patent pools and analyse the causes of the formation of patent pool and re-emergence of modem patent pool Then, it takes typical current international patent pools as examples to explain the formation and operation mechanism of the modem patent pool Finally it analyzes and compares the law regulation on patent pool in U. S. , Europe, Japan and Taiwan, and put forwards some strategies of response.
