随着家庭网关(Residential Gateway)市场的快速增长以及家庭用户和Internet服务提供商对家庭网关服务质量的渴望,在家庭网关方面的研究也越来越多。对网络带宽的需求永远要比物理网络带宽的建设要快,因此,利用QoS服务提供的区分服务(Differential Services)机制,根据用户是否在家来动态划分带宽优先级,并且根据优先级不同采用不同的压缩算法来压缩数据包。仿真表明该方法能有效地提高数据传输率,降低数据包的时延。
More and more researches on residential gateway field are motivated by the fast increase of residential gateway market and the desires of home users and internet service providers on the service quality of residential gateway.The growth of bandwidth requirements is still much faster than the growth of physical network bandwidth construction.So we utilise the DiffServ-QoS bandwidth management mechanism,according to whether the users are at home or not,to dynamically adjust the priorities,and then apply different compression algorithms to compress data packets based on these priorities.Extensive simulations show that our method can effectively improve the transmission rate and reduce the packet delay.
