Digital Rights Management（DRM） technology ensures the digital contents being used legally and reasonably and is the key technology of the order and healthy development of all the digital contens industry.Security usage control problem of multimedia contents protected by copyright becomes the bottleneck of the digital home network application scenes.Based on analyzing typical usage control models,digital home network structure and DRM mechanism,we discuss three typical multimedia usage control methods based on roles,security domain and certificate chain.The existent problems and challenges of digital home network and DRM are pointed at last.
