The current situation on the development of the tutorial system for undergraduates in university is analysed.The main existing problems and development dilemma has been pointed out.As an example,the achievement of the undergraduate＇s tutorial system in China University of Geosciences（Beijing） is summarized.Individual guide,equal relationship and interactive teaching form the nucleus idea of the innovative talent training in research university.The development train of thought and construction mode of the undergraduate＇s tutorial system based on the counsellor system is proposed and discussed.
