Scenario analyses are considered to be a better way to link climate change and impact research in recent years. This paper summarizes the scenario application progress in climate change research from its definition, classification and so on. IPCC released emission scenarios over the years had been reviewed and new IPCC scenarios had been introduced in this paper which be help for future climate change research.
