The construction and development of railway play important roles in city growth, formation of regional economic integration and stable development of national economy. Based on the current situation of the increasing growth on Chinese economic development and railway transportation, by employing point - axis development theory, contestable markets theory and diversification strategy, with reference to characteristic railway economic development mode of Japan from the global perspective, the thesis focuses on comparative studies on the construction and operation of railway; the construction and innovation on the mode of regional development of two countries in order to provide valuable references for deepening railway construction and development of regional economic integration.
