This paper presents a modified optimum index factor based on one-class support vector machine for extracting specific object. The proposed method was used to extract the photovoltaic power station from the Landsat 8 satellite image in Jiangsu coastal zone. The accuracy evaluation was conducted by referencing the visual interpretation results. The proposed method is useful to extract the specific object from satellite image.
