A network management solution based on mobile agent （MA） technology is described, while a new management architecture is proposed, which has the advantages of efficiency, flexibility and scalability in both implementation and functionality, so the problem that the big price of upgrading and hard-scalability can be solved. Finally, a simulation which proves MA-based network management can reduce the traffic is given.
