Recently, it becomes more and more popular in material science to study carbon fiber(CF). In this work, the surface chemical modification for the carbon fibers produced with the catalytic dehydrogenation of hydrocarben have been performed by concentrate sulfuric acid for various times in order to extend the practical application in composite materials. The analysis techniques of microcalorimetric adsorption for ammonia and isopropanol catalytic reaction were used for characterization of the CF samples.
