真核翻译延伸因子1A1(eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1A1,eEF1A1)是一个在蛋白质合成过程中发挥肽链延伸作用的重要因子,在细胞生长过程中起着重要作用。
Eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1A1 (eEF1A1) is an important factor in polypeptide chain elongation and plays an important role in cell growth. The function of eEF1A1 is not only limited in polypeptide chain elongation but also participates in protein post-translational modification, protein degradation, regulation of cytoskeleton and other physiological activities. Through these non-canonical functions, eEF1A1 plays an important role in proliferation, apoptosis, invasion and metastasis of tumor cells. Moreover, knockdown of eEF1A1 can enhance the chemosensitivity of tumor cells. These results indicate that eEF1A1 may become a potential target for prevention and treatment of cancer. This article reviews the latest advances in potential role of eEF1A1 in tumorigenesis and progression.
