The utilization of carbon dioxide as a resource has been paid much attention. The best way is to change carbon dioxide into valuable chemicals by chemical transformation. The design and synthesis of catalyst is the key factor in carbon dioxide chemical transformation, thus this paper reviews the progress of carbon dioxide chemical transformation according to the major categories of catalyst.
