Cirrhosis is a common chronic progressive disease. It is often accompanied by severe complications which can cause death. Therefore,an accurate evaluation of liver reserve function provides a basis for the extent of disease progression and the judgment of therapeutic effect. However,among the numerous methods,none can be used to individually evaluate the liver reserve function in an accurate and comprehensive way. This paper reviews the characteristics of various evaluation methods that are introduced.
