In this paper, a cold chain of deteriorating items with a distributor, a retailer and some customers is considered. The distributor offers trade credit to the retailer, while the retailer offers trade credit to the customers. An inventory model for the retailer is built with linear time varying demand and two-level trade credit, and the existence and the uniqueness of the optimal solution are proved. The numerical example shows that the effect of parameter a is small while the effect of parameter b is big with regard to the optimal solution. Regarding to the effect of trade credit period, when M is increased, both the optimal ordering cycle and the minimum total cost decrease. When N is increased, both the optimal ordering cycle and the minimum total cost increase.
