According to the application of geo-cells flexible retaining wall in expansive soil slope protection,the concept of prestressing for the geo-cells flexible retaining wall is put forward.The mechanism of expansive soil slope cracking for geo-cells flexible retaining wall is elaborated with by qualitative analysis.After further studying the cracking mechanism of expansive soil through unsaturated soil elastic model,the initial crack depth relationship with prestressing,critical matrix suction,the tensile strength is given.This paper provides some suggestions for the study of the cracking mechanism for expansive soil slope with geo-cells flexible retaining wall.
