由可紫外光固化的超支化聚酯齐聚物、液晶以及交联剂制备了聚合物网络液晶薄膜。研究了交联剂的种类和超支化聚酯齐聚物的含量对聚合物网络的形貌以及聚合物网络液晶薄膜的电光性能的影响。结果表明,适当地加入超支化聚酯齐聚物,可以加快聚合速率,得到均匀并且面积较小的液晶畴区,从而得到较低的开态透过率(13.1%)。开态透过率的大幅度下降使得聚合物网络液晶的对比度大大提高,最大可以达到5以上。此外,二乙烯基苯作为交联剂可以得到较低的阈值电压,仅为4V左右。
Polymer network liquid crystal (PNLC) films were prepared from a mixture of an ultraviolet-curable hyperbranched polyester oligomer (HPO),nematic liquid crystal and crosslinking agent. The influence of the sorts of crosslinking agent and the concentration of HPO on the morphology of polymer network and electro-optic performance of the films was studied. With appropriate concentration of HPO in the films, a fast polymerization rate was obtained as well as a small and uniform LC polydomains, which resulted in a low ON-state transmittance (13.1%). A significant decrease of ON-state transmittance led to an improved optical contrast ratio. The maximum one could reach more than 5. Moreover, divinylbenzene (DVB) as crosslinking agent could induce a lower switching voltage, which just about 4V.
