This paper discusses why it is important to carry out core socialist values education for grad- uate students as a group, what challenges it faces and how to cope with them. Colleges and universi- ties must make good use of what the age of microblogs presents----cultureal carriers, network plat- forms and cultural transmission, and establish a long--term mechanism for core socialist values edu- cation by building sound platforms, giving authoritative guidance and creating new contents.
