Based on the investigation of equipment organization in various areas and highway in China,the influencing factors on maintenance equipment organization are analyzed. According to the characteristics of arid and semi-arid lands and common problems of expressway, the organization priority, sequences and suggestions of equipment are presented. The results have references for maintenance equipment organization of highway in cold, arid and semiarid lands
