Objective To study research on extraction technology of polysaccharide in Paeonia delavayi pericarp of national herbs distribute on Yunnan - guizhou plateau and the Tibetan plateau. Method Extraction solvent, method and time were determined by u- sing single factor experiment, and process factors including ratio of material to solvent, extraction temperature, extraction times were selected and the optimum parameters were determined for extraction amount of polysaccharide. Result The optimized extraction process as follow: extraction solvent was 50% ethanol, ratio of material to solvent was 1:40, extraction temperature was 40℃, extraction 3 times for 1.5 hours under ultrasonic assisted. The (72. 73 ± 3.61 ) mg/g polysaccharide was extracted from Paeonia delavayi pericarp under the optimized extraction process. The rate of contribution of ratio of material to solvent, extraction temperature and time were 89. 256%, 7. 702%, 1. 512%. Conclusion The ratio of material to solvent, extraction temperature and time affected significantly ex- traction amount of polysaccharide, and the optimized extraction process could extract effectively polysaccharide in Paeonia delavayi per- icarp of national herbs.
