Parinirvana in Yushu of Qinghai is also called ＂Princess Wencheng Temple＂, which is an extremely important cultural relic on the Tang-Tibet Ancient Road, but the recognition about its year, quality and meaning is still unclear. In recent years, through the archaeological investigation on the main shrine and its surrounding, a group of character prefaces and pictures were found that help to identify the building year and the nature of it, and provide clues for further understanding about the historical background of the appearance of statues.
