As a main link for understanding and researching agricultural disasters, agriculture disaster statistics plays an important role in realizing the agricultural sustainable development in China. Based on analysis of the questions existing in agriculture disasters statistics in China, this paper shows that a lot of works must be strengthened in order to improve the agricultural disaster statistics level. It is necessary to construct agricultural disaster statistics index and criterion, improve on disaster statistic methods and programs and pay more attention to managements and so on.
