传感器节点通常由电池供电,充电和更换电池比较困难.如何有效地利用能源,减少损耗已经成为无线传感器网络的研究热点之一.传感器节点的能量大部分损耗在无线传输的过程中,因此,对数据压缩后再传输,能有效的减少传输的流量并提高节点的生存期.本文分析了传感数据的分布规律,指出当节点采集的数据符合慢变性质时,其分布将服从以0为中心的正态分布.依此提出了一种基于混合编码的传感器节点数据无损压缩算法,与传感器网络中的经典无损压缩算法相比,本算法以更少的性能开销获得了更高的压缩率.实验结果也证明了这一点.
Efficient utilization of energy is a core area of research in wireless sensor networks since sensor nodes are powered by batteries which cannot be generally changed or recharged.The communication module utilizes a major part of the energy expenditure of a sensor node.Hence data compression methods to reduce the number of bits to be transmitted by the communication module will significantly reduce the energy requirement and increase the lifetime of the sensor node.Through analyze the natural correlation and sensor data distribution in a typical wireless sensor network,this paper designed a lossless sensor data compression algorithm called Mix-Encode algorithm.Compared with the Simple-Huffman algorithm,the purposed algorithm indicated better compression ratio and performance.
