Mitogen-activated protein kinase/extracellular signal-regulated kinase kinase kinase 3(MEKK3) is a kind of serine/threonine protein kinase in the mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase(MAP3K) family,which is widely expressed in various tissues in mammals.The protein kinase can effectively activate the MAPK and NF-κB signaling pathway.At the same time,it's closely linked with the occurrence and development of a variety of tumors.This review will summarize the progress in the study of the structure,protein phosphorylation,signal transduction of MAP3K and its relation with the immune regulation and the development of the tumor.
