Translation equivalence is a significant issue in translation studies, drawing a lot of concern all a- round the world. It is essential to explore translation equivalence from the perspective of terminology, examining its origin and developments, exploring its contributions in generating new terms in translation studies as well as inter- preting its conceptual core and extension, in order to build an accurate understanding of translation equivalence, shedding new light on terms in Chinese translation studies.
