Two large earthquakes with M8.7 and M8.5 occurred in the northwest sea area of Sumatra, Indonesia, on 26 Dec. 2004 and 29 Mar. 2005. According to the analysis of the relation between the Indonesia large earthquakes and the seismicity, fluid anomaly in Yunnan, it is considered that the occurrence of the Indonesia earthquakes might make the new round of strong earthquakes active period ahead in Yunnan. Although both teleseism triggering small earthquakes and making fluid records abnormal correlate with the surface wave magnitude of the large earthquake and the geologic tectonic environment, their mechanisms are different.
