The one-cell tone indication makes it impossible for the currently-used Chinese Braille to be beth precise and concise, and the simultaneous increase of tones and length remains a problem unsettled in the past 6 decades. Hidden tones, a non-cell tone indication, make it possible to eliminate the congenital defects of the existing Chinese Braille and the common contradictions of any type of Braille. Hidden tones include three main categories: the sole tone, the sole commonly-used tone, and the high-frequency tone. The first principle of hidden tones is precision, followed by constancy and readability. Hidden tones can help the existing Chinese Braille to break away from "one form with more tones", and become an advanced type of Braille in the world.
