As deposition promotion can intensify the sediment deposition effects in reclamation area, fasten the land formation process and decrease filling volume in late period, it is an effective way to reduce engineering costs and corrslruction difficulty of reclamation levees. Therefore, deposition promotion is a key part in sea reclamation. It is crucial to study the effects of deposition promotion. This paper studied the effects of deposition promotion for Diaoliang reclamation project by analyzing actual deposition effects for the first phase and predicting deposition process for the second and third phase. The results will be helpful in selecting a suitable construction time.
