An ionic liquid of 1-isobutyl-3-methylimidazole tetrafluoroborate( [ i-Bmim ] BF4 ) was syn- thesized and applied to the determination of deoxynivalenol(DON) with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). A series of experiments were conducted to obtain and compare the detection limits, the half inhibitory concentrations, the reproducibilities and the antiserum specificities of DON with and without 0. 014 g/mL [ i-Bmim] BF4 in the reaction system. Comparative results showed that in the presence of ionic liquid, the detection limit ( 1.41 μg/L ), the half inhibitory concentration (29.71 μg/L) and the reproducibility(3.26%, n =5) for DON were improved by 69%, 50% and 2%, respectively. The antiserum specificity expressed by cross-reaction rates for DON ( 15.3% ) and T-2 toxin( 10. 2% ) were improved by about 5%, respectively. The method has been used to deter- mine DON in beer and wort. Comparative results showed that in the presence of 0. 014 g/mL [ i- Bmim ] BF4, the spiked recoveries of DON at two concentration levels of 50, 70 mg/L were both 98%,with relative standard deviations(RSDs) of 2.96%, 6.02%, respectively.
