Determination of the symmetry element and moleeular point group is the key and difficult points in the Structural Chemistry Teaching. Based on the teaching practice, the molecular structure of eyclohexane and S8 is simplified for easier determination of the symmetry element and molecular point group. Independent of the accuracy of molecular structure, the symmetry dement and molecular point group is relatively easy to determine in teaching process. The application of the simplified molecular structure is of great significance to reducing teaching difficulty and the improvement of teaching.
