With the development of web technology and the electronic information,medical education has entered the era of electronic information. Medical education is advancing,and E-Learning is not a new concept for most in the medical profession. However,it is rarely mentioned in teaching of oral and maxillofacial surgery. E-Learning with its powerful update speed and the diversity of learning materials,can cater to the development of oral and maxillofacial surgery teaching. This article introduced the development,characteristics,application and investigation of E-Learning teaching in oral and maxillofacial surgery teaching,providing a reference for E-Learning teaching in medical colleges and universities.
