The domestic and foreign studies related with the seismic performance of infill frame structures are reviewed in this paper,according to the following aspects： the seismic damage survey,the model test and the theoretical analysis.Then,the methods to improve the seismic performance of infilling walls which have been advanced are elaborated and the development trails of thought are also expounded.Furthermore,based on the new problems and trends in the engineering practice and the research actualities,the development direction of the study on this subject in the future is prospected.
