This paper present the concept of emergency demand at the basic of reading and analyzing lots of papers, and the research contents of emergency demand are discussed; the category and characteristic of emergency demand are analyzed, the authors summarize the current research status of emergency demand forecast and classification of emergency demand, at last the authors expect the research trend of this problem.
