环境信息科学是环境科学与工程、地理科学、信息技术、测绘遥感学等多学科交叉的新兴学科。在分析环境信息系统、地理信息系统环境应用、环境遥感、环境数据挖掘、虚拟现实技术应用、数字环境等方向研究进展的基础上.基于环境信息流与数据处理方法构建了环境信息科学的体系结构与研究方法,最后对煤矿区采矿环境损害研究与环境管理中环境信息科学理论方法的综合应用进行了实例探讨。
Environmental information science (EIS) is a novel integrated discipline of environmental science and engineering, information science and technology, surveying, remote sensing, geography and other related disciplines. Based on a brief review on some key issues of EIS including environmental information system, environmental geographical information system, environmental remote sensing, environmental data mining, ap- plications of virtual reality and digital environment, a new framework of EIS was proposed according to the information flow and data processing procedures in multidisciplinary aspects. Finally, the applications of EIS to environmental impact assessment for mineral exploitation and environmental management in coal mining areas were discussed as an example.
