Based on investigation data of 307 households from Jiangxi Province, the selective bias problem of farmers involved in water users association （WUA） was studied by using the treatment effect model and the impact of WUA on farmers＇ family income was analyzed. Empirical studies found that WUA can significantly in- crease the total household income, farming income and off-farming income.The total household income, farming income and off-farming income of participated farmers are significantly higher than that of non-participated farmers.When selective bias was adjusted, WUA cast a greater effect on farmers＇ household incomes.Number of family labor and scale of operation observably affect the total household income, farming income and off-farm- ing income while other factors vary in their impact.
