Fieldwork was carried out at giant panda living district of SiChuan LiZiPing nature reserve. Its purpose was to make a comparative researching of the microhabitat structures of giant panda in old growth and secondary forests. The paper analysed 25 variables reflecting the giant panda habitat structure, such as slope ,slope positions by one way ANOVA. The result shows significant difference in 15 variables, such as trees crown density and trees height . And then the logistic regression shows trees umber, trees crown density ,shrubs height, and bamboo deaths have great contribution to distinguishing old growth and secondary forest. And, underbrush (include bamboo) also considerably affects the selection of giant panda's habitat. The results proves that Giant Panda's choosing trees is rooted in integrated factors, including the right crown density in old growth. The deforestation, and the secondary vegetation structure changes, have had significant influence on the growth of the bamboo.
