The study on the approach of ETL is one of the most important parts of data warehouse research. This research focuses on ETL tool which is metadata-driven,by this way, the better flexibility, extensibility and maneuverability are provided. This paper presents the details of design and implementation of metadata-driven ETL approach and proves this approach is effective and efficient by the practice of National Environment Ocean Data Warehouse.
