Kidney is the origin of congenital constitution, storing essence, transforming Qi, nourishing the body, providing the most basic material for Zang-fu and channels, limbs and skeletons. Kidney is the root of life. In this article, based on the theory of kidney storing essence, according to the original description in Golden Chamber, the onset and therapy of Lijie disease was explored and the significance of treating from kidney was discussed.
