The development of ovary, including the length of ovariole, numbers of identified eggs and their percentage among the whole ovary in Pteromalus puparum were compared with its two hosts, Papilio xuthus L. and Pieris rapae. We concluded that the numbers of third grand eggs in P. xuthus were larger than that in P. rapa, but the first and second grand eggs are smaller than that in P. rapa. The length of ovariole in P. xuthus was much more longer than that in Pieris rapa.
