董事会的团队属性如何影响企业国际化战略,是我国企业实施“走出去”战略不可回避的理论和实践问题。本文利用2006-2008年中国沪深两市上市公司的数据,实证分析董事会团队属性对国际化程度的影响。结果表明,董事会拥有更多的国际化知识,掌握更多的公司内部信息,投入更多的时间参与团队活动,有助于国际化经营与管理,从而提高国际化程度。此外,研究显示中国上市公司董事会权力较弱,同时激励不足,难以对国际化战略产生明显影响。
The impact of boards' team attributes on firm intemationalization strategy is a theoretical and practical problem that cannot be avoided in Chinese enterprises carrying out "Go Global" strategy. Using the data of the listed companies in China from 2006 through 2008, the paper empirically investigates the impact of boards' team attributes on the degree of internationalization. The results show that boards which possess international knowledge and firm internal information, devoting more time to participate in team activities, will ben- efit the international operations and management, and thus improve the degree of internationalization. Furthermore, the results indicate that the board power and incentives are so weak that it is difficult to have a significant impact on the internationalization strategy in Chi-nese listed companies.
