In this paper, we propose a new approach of representation -- （membership） 2-tuple fuzzy linguistic representation. Based on the membership function of the linguistic label, we provide an algorithm to construct the interval fuzzy preference relations which can be used to resolve the group decision making problems. Our model of dealing with linguistic labels combines the advantage of 2-tuple fuzzy linguistic representation and interval computation. Finally, we present an example to illustrate the developed approach.
