In this paper, a method to reduce the residual echo in an acoustic echo cancellation system is proposed. Residual echo can be reduced effectively with a post -filter, which is calculated with the error signal and the output signal of the adap- tive filter. The proposed post - filters can be seamlessly combined with the frequency - domain adaptive filter. They also can be easily extended to multi - channel processing. The instrumental evaluation and listening test both demonstrate the superiority of the post - filters.
