Based on the evolutionary law of industry, we study the differences of innovation characteristics. Results show that there is no strong relationship between profit growth and R＆D investment although the trends is increasing; there is strong relationship between pro{it growth and new product development investment, but the trend is increasingly weak; there is strong relationship between new product development and R~D investment, although it has a growing trend; R＆D and new product development investment both contribute small to the total profit, which means that the efficiency is still relatively low for R＆D and new product development, or the standards defining high-tech industry may be also a problem.
