Based on the collating of the floating population data which was from the sixth census of region in the south of Xinjiang,this paper made an analysis from the aspects of floating population scale,age distribution,gender structure,education,floating time,floating cause,occupational distribution and characteristic discrete tendency. This paper grasped the basic condition of the floating population in the south of Xinjiang comprehensively,in order to provide some help for all levels of the governments of the territories in the aspects of scientific management of floating population and efficient service,ensuring the economic development and social stability of the south of Xinjiang.
