A video decoding dependency erasure code is proposed to reduce receiver＇s video delay in wireless video broadcast. According to packet receiving status of broadcast receivers, the proposed coding scheme first considers video packets＇ decoding dependency, and then constructs coded packets on-the-fly to reduce receiver＇s video delay. Simulation shows that the proposed code has lower video delay than the existing erasure codes.
